Before Surgery :

I am leaving a consultation review to help others as I also received a lot of help by reading other people’s reviews. First of all, it was close to home and had excellent accessibility. And as I not only wanted to get rhinoplasty but also facial contouring and breast augmentation surgeries, I chose View Plastic Surgery for it being a large hospital performing plastic surgeries in various areas. I guess I liked the idea of not having to visit different hospitals for different surgeries and how I could maybe directly share with just one manager or the doctor what I’m looking for out of the entire procedure. Coming out of Exit 3 of Sinnonhyeon Station, I figured out that so many floors above the cafe was the hospital. Even though I arrived earlier than the booked time, the manager in charge immediately came down to the waiting area and guided me to the consultation room. As for the rhinoplasty consultation, when I shared how I wanted my nose to have a natural curve, the doctor kindly told me how the surgery would be performed even drawing a picture himself. Knowing how performing plastic surgeries for overall facial balance requires aesthetic sense, I became even more excited about the procedure. And for the facial contouring surgery, I was recommended 3-types of facial contouring surgery considering how I had small but somewhat masculine facial bone when examined through a CT scan.

Day 3 Review :

I was out of my mind after the surgery and it was a series of pains being so thirsty and my throat being so sore. Having to breathe only through my mouth, I remember regretting having gotten the surgery as I had to endure for 3 hours the feeling that my tongue would dry out. Even after 3 hours, I continued to feel nauseous, so I couldn’t even drink water and just kept waking up. I was so grateful that the nurse took care of me very carefully as I was constantly throwing up in pain, giving ice packs, replacing my nose gauze, patting my back, and saying that it will all pass soon and I’ll be okay. The next day, I couldn’t speak after the removal of the nasal packing and the drain, and it was very difficult for me to communicate. As soon as I got home, I worked hard on my recovery by drinking lots of warm water, taking medication, resting well, and applying ice packs. I feel much better than before and switched from eating only soups to porridge, but I guess I still feel weak since I’m eating only soft foods. As for the swelling on the 2nd and 3rd day, there is no bruising but it’s swollen to the maximum. All I can think of is to quickly remove the taping and the splint from my face to be able to wash it clean.

Week 1 Review :

Today finally being 1 week post-op, I went to the hospital first thing in the morning. During the follow-up appointment, the doctor said that it would now be good to remove the splint and the stitches after carefully examining the condition of my nose. So all of them were removed as well as the taping from the facial contouring surgery so I could finally see my bare face again after 1 week at last haha. Looking forward to finally being able to wash my face, I had all the skin products for removing the dead skin, but unfortunately, it turned out that I could wash from tomorrow since I JUST got my stitches out. But still, I was very much satisfied after getting the exfoliation treatment from the dermatology department as the after-service and felt that I could endure another day. I was told that the nose line was still swollen, but I was already so satisfied and finally came to the realization of why everyone is getting rhinoplasty even enduring this process. During the facial-contouring follow-up appointment, the doctor carefully asked me about any inconveniences, painful areas, or questions I had. I was also told that I would have to wait some time to be able to see the real result of the facial contouring surgery but that the surgery was successful. I have no bruises but the swelling for both cheeks is now as if I have a mouth full of candies. I decided to think that this too will pass. I guess the last review sounded like I was whining since I was in such a bad state. Well now, I already have forgotten all the hard times. I’ll come back with a greater review as soon as the swelling goes down.

Week 2 Review :

Two weeks after the facial contouring surgery, I went to the hospital to remove the stitches in my mouth. As soon as I arrived, I was given gargles containing an anesthetic and was told to hold it for a minute and to spit it out. It was more painful and stingy than I expected, but as I was told that it would hurt more when removing the stitches without this process, I put up with it and it lessened the pain when removing the stitches. Since the stitches were removed, I could now brush my teeth with a regular toothbrush, but I was told that I have to wait another month for chewing hard food. I was craving Maratang so I went for it and though I couldn’t eat any meat, I could easily eat other softer ingredients such as glass noodles, tofu, and sausages after cutting them into small pieces. I was surprised to find how maratang is out of so much soft ingredients. I’m going out more often with everyone telling me that there isn’t much swelling considering it’s just been 2 weeks after the surgery and since it also seems to me as if I just have a chubby baby face when looking in the mirror. I still feel a bit awkward when laughing or talking but I think it will get better if I keep talking and practicing. The surgery part was difficult but I am so happy now.

Week 3 plastic surgery in Korea Review

Week 3 Review :

It’s now been 3 weeks since my facial contouring and nose surgery. After removing the stitches, I feel more comfortable when brushing my teeth and feel like less food gets caught between my teeth and gums. I can still only put 2 fingers in between my mouth but I’m getting better and better at chewing so I’m eating more and more types of foods that break easily with just a little bit of chewing, such as pineapple, popcorn, and wafers. Now when I take pictures,  I take a side view with my nose proud. Before, when I smiled, I couldn’t smile brightly because my cheekbones would stand out. But now I’m able to smile broadly and people around me would tell me how the surgery outcome looks amazing, asking me to tell them which doctor performed the surgery. The recovery process was truly hard, but now that I have this kind of satisfaction, I have no regrets at all. Having heard about how facial contouring surgery could cause a double chin, I’m trying to manage it by adjusting my diet although I couldn’t exercise. What are you all doing? Come on, get pretty!

Month 1 Review :

It's been a month since I had the facial contouring and rhinoplasty surgery. So many people came asking me about the revision rhinoplasty and the doctor said that most of the swelling has gone down but it continue to go down. I am already very satisfied, so I am wondering, ‘How much more will I become beautiful?’ The absorbable sutures were not dissolving as expected but they helped me by carefully cutting them out so there was no major inconvenience. I am taking lots of pictures of my side profile. In the morning I would swell up like a hamster but in the evening the swelling would go down. I hope that time will pass soon so that I would always have the look of the evening without any swelling. Everyone is complimenting me on how I’ve become so stylish so I guess it’s become my daily fun activity to look in the mirror.

Month 2 Review :

It's already been 2 months since I had contouring and nose surgery. Now that the swelling has gone down so much, nobody would notice that I had surgery, and I’ve gotten very used to my new face. My cheeks are still swollen like a hamster in the morning, but in the evening, my facial shape will have that perfect V-line. On important days, I would just take care of the swelling the day before and greet the morning. When it comes to eating, I can now eat almost anything including all types of meat. It's so nice to be able to eat a hamburger like a Big Mac with several bites. But at the same time, now that I can eat more now, I feel like I’m quickly gaining weight. Still, thinking about how I would continue to become prettier, I do find myself being able to control my diet. A lot of people have told me that my nose resembles the noses of pretty celebrities such as Min Hyo-Rin and Shin Se-Kyung, so I feel really good. The real hand of god!

Month 3 Review :

Now it’s been 3 months since I had facial contouring and nose surgery. It’s become possible to live a daily life without any discomfort in eating or chewing and I’m also without any swelling. The most satisfying thing is that when taking pictures with a regular camera, I no longer need to edit or correct my facial contours and the nose line but just edit the skin tone. Now an adult mask is too big to use so I changed to using a child mask. Even until last month, I couldn’t eat much because I had a hard time opening my mouth wide or chewing any type of meat. I still refrain from strenuous exercise, but I do go for walks. If I eat salty food, my face gets swollen to the point that I don’t even want to see it, so I work hard on my diet. I am so grateful to my doctor that every time.

Month 4 Review :

Now it’s been 4 months since I had facial contouring and nose surgery. I have gotten so used to my current face that I can no longer remember my old face. Now, when taking pictures, I deliberately take a lot of pictures of my side so that my beautiful lines are well captured. In the past, I used to deliberately cover my face with my hair but now I’m really satisfied that it’s prettier to take pictures with all of my face exposed. Now I can eat meat, rice, almonds, and squid all well, and the inside of my mouth has healed well, so I’m doing well without any discomfort. Except for the fact that only slight swelling can still be felt when touching the cheekbones, I’m only just looking forward to how much prettier I’ll be after 6 months and 1 year because it’s only been 4 months and my face is not swollen and I’m pretty already. Everyone sees my nose line and goes crazy about it so it’s quite clear that I now have become more stylish! Worrying will only slow down the process :)
