1. Under the pectoral muscle

The insertion method under the muscle is the most preferred method that the implant is inserted under the pectoral muscle so that breast can have soft feel and the shape of tear drop.

However, this method can have long recovery time and pain since breast tissue and muscle can be expanded at the same time. 

2. Dual Plane (Multi-Layer Breast Augmentation)

There are two methods to insert the implant; 2/3 under the muscle and 1/3 over the muscle.

This method has advantage that the phenomenon of double line as can be reduced.

However, it can have side effect if unskillful specialist to breast surgery performs it since dual plane is a high level of breast surgery. 

3. Under the lacteal gland

The insertion method under the lacteal gland is a method which inserts the implant over the pectoral muscle under the breast tissue. It is a quite simple method and has less pain since breast tissue expansion is omitted.

However, capsular contracture can be happened after breast augmentation with this method, so this method is not performed well. 

Depending on the location of the implant, it has different advantage and disadvantage each other.Every surgery can bring risk so that individually customized surgery is important to prevent from side effect and make natural breast.
