Successful nose formation can be divided into preoperative management and postoperative management.
Precautions before nose surgery
Do not smoke or drink two weeks prior to the surgery
Do not take aspirin or aspirin drugs that affect hemostasis for at least a week before the nose surgery
Tell us if you had a cold, inflammation, cough, or phlegm within 1 week before the surgery
It is good to have a light bath the day before surgery (washing your hair).
Take a good night's sleep the day before surgery

Please keep fasting for at least 6 hours.

Precations after the nose surgery
- Dont wear anything that can add pressure on to the nose (glasses, sunglasses)
- To prevent inflammation, do not drink, smoke or go to saunas (until the fourth week passes).
- Do not take aspirin or aspirin drugs that affect hemostasis for at least a week before the nose surgery
- When massaging your face with ice packs Do not rub or push directly on your face
- After the third day changing the ice pack to a warm pack will help with the swelling
- Do not use any dressing tapes, or medications that the hospital/doctor didn’t prescribe
- 2-3 days after the surgery, blood might flow out through your nose, but dont be alarmed as that is normal; make sure to use the gauze provided to wipe away the blood and not to rub or give too much pressure on the nose
You may start to wash your face and put on makeup after you get your stitches removed.

Q: I had rhinoplasty but i want to go back to my original nose~ If i take out the implants that i had put in would i be able to go back to my original nose? How long will recovery take as well as swelling?

If you wanted, we are able to take out the implants that were put in through surgery. However, taking out the implants does not mean that you will go back to your original nose shape. Majority of the times, with rhinoplasty we work on the tip and nose bridge together, which cause a change in the tip due to the cartilage that has been added. Which makes it hard for your nose to go back in to its original form, just because you took out the implants. The swelling and recovery time will take roughly 7-10 days. There is likely no other problems that will occur after the implants being taken out.
