What is short chin surgery?
The surgery incises the chin and moves forward if the front chin is sunken behind.
The short chin surgery for moving the tip of the chin forward corrects the unclear chin line and improves your face to a defined look if your dental occlusion is good despite your sunken chin.

TIP
- The feature is considered a short chin (micrognathia) if the chin is sunken and the dental occlusion is poor. It can be corrected with bimaxillary osteotomy (two-jaw surgery) which moves the entire chin forward.

Bone Scalpel Enhancing The Accuracy
- The bone scalpel is an ultrasonic device which cuts the bones by responding only to the bone tissues.
- It has less vibration within 0.5mm enabling a very precise surgery, protects nearby blood vessels and nerves by responding only to bones, causes less tissue damages and bleeding and provides quick recovery.

When you need short chin surgery

2. If you have a small lower jaw
3. If you have protruding upper teeth

5. If you look like you have a lot of fat in the chin and have wrinkles due to the short chin.

Before & After The Surgery

Surgery Type

1. Front chin (chin tip) advancement
This procedure cuts the sunken bone to the length for the advancement and moves it forward.
Adjusts the chin length depending on the angle of bone resection to make a natural jaw line.

2. T osteotomy advancement
This procedure reduces and corrects the width of the chin to make a slimmer and more beautiful chin line.

3. Prosthetic Insertion
This procedure inserts the prosthetics molded in the shape of the chin bone contour into the front side of the chin bone through a small incision in the oral cavity.
It firmly fixes the prosthetics not to move according to the muscle movement while talking or eating.
